miss muffet tea strainer miss muffet tea strainer
Inspired by the classic story of Miss Muffet. Designed to be used in conjunction with a teapot and teacups - place Miss Muffet over a teacup or mug, and use it to strain tea leaves as the tea is poured into your cup. "There is such power in narrative images for me. There is a feeling that we are creating an entire dream-like world, building designs around interactive themes that are familiar to all of us. I imagine Miss Muffet having her tea as the spider came down beside her. In this case, the spider sat right over her tea cup and helped her strain her tea!" - Michael Aram

Made of polished stainless steel.  Dishwasher safe but use the "fine china" setting. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

tea filters tea filtertea filter in float glass
Our tea filters are made of unbleached hemp from the Philippines and Ecuador.
These natural paper products are chlorine free, recyclable and biodegradable.
Only the finest fibres are selected to ensure an extremely high strength of paper
that is thin and porous. Tea filters are roomier than regular sized teabags and
allow the loose tea leaves to unfurl. A bottom fold opens automatically, providing
enough volume for the tea to properly infuse, such as pitchers of iced tea. The
filters come in 4 sizes, the largest of which is ideal for brewing large quantities
of tea. All sizes are easy to fill and stand up by themselves in a teacup or teapot -
no holder is needed. The filters are sold in boxes of 100 per size.

size 2 filter (4 cups)  |  $8.51
size 3 filter (8 cups)  |  $8.97

comet tea straw    comet tea straw
Our comet tea straw is a handcrafted glass straw that filters the tea leaves while you drink your tea. It is perfect for use as a bombilla when drinking yerba maté. Yerba maté is traditionally prepared in a decorated gourd, and sipped through a bombilla (or “straw” in Spanish). The comet tea straw is convenient and easy to use: simply pour hot water over loose tea, steep for the recommended length of time, and sip through your comet tea straw. This straw is best for teas with longer steeping times, such as herbal teas. Since green teas require a short steeping time, it is better to use a removable infuser to brew them. When using your comet tea straw with really fine leafed teas, you may get a few stray leaves up the straw. After each use, rinse the comet tea straw under hot water, or place in the dishwasher. Made of high quality, non-reactive borosilicate glass. Dishwasher safe.

tea lab teapotsmountain spring tea glass    NEW!
A mug, teapot, tea strainer and thermos all in one convenient item!  What more could you ask for?  Perfect for home and office use. Double walled glass construction keeps your tea hot.  Can be used on-the-go as well, but handle with care as it is made entirely of glass.  Note - there is a removable stainless steel filter, which is ideal for brewing herbal teas and yerba maté directly in the tea glass.  With white, green and black teas which require a more precise steeping time, we recommend using the tea glass in conjunction with a mini orbit teaball, or tea filters. Once the tea has finished steeping, remove it from the glass.

A beautiful traditional Chinese drawing is etched in silver and frosted glass.

It depicts a butterfly fluttering over a landscape of mountainous rocks, with grasses growing out of them. Chinese calligraphy is written next to the image which says, "Spring is here, the plum blossoms are in flower, and my friends are coming for tea". Makes a lovely gift, in conjunction with a Blossoming Tea - click here for a link to our blossoming teas.
