MICHAEL ARM TEA STRAINERS
Michael Aram is an internationally renowned designer who has trained as a painter, sculptor and art historian. After studying fine art and living as an artist in New York, Aram took what would later be a life-altering trip to India where he discovered rich metalworking traditions. Inspired to work with craftsmen whose skills he felt were greatly untapped, Aram turned his creative energies towards craft based design, setting up a home and workshop in New Delhi.  Michael Aram tea strainers are hand made by artisans in India.

sun & moon infuser
This decorative infuser allows you to brew your tea inside a mug and in some sizes of teapots.
To use, insert the sun & moon infuser in your mug or teapot so that the rim of the infuser is resting
on the top of the mug or teapot. Place tea leaves in the infuser and pour hot water through it until
the mug or teapot is almost full and the leaves are covered. Make sure that there is sufficient hot

orbit teaballs
These fine mesh teaballs come in two sizes. The large is spacious enough to properly infuse
up to 3 tsp. of loose tea (resulting in 6 cups of brewed tea). The mini orbit is big enough to
infuse up to 1 tsp. of loose tea (resulting in 1-2 cups of brewed tea). Both are designed to
fit most shapes and sizes of mugs, and can also be used in most teapots. The chain clips

tea filters
We offer two types of Tea Filters – one type is made from environmentally friendly unbleached hemp from the Philippines and Ecuador and the other is unbleached paper, made from sustainably harvested wood pulp that is thin and porous. Only the finest fibres are selected to ensure an extremely high strength of paper. These natural paper products are chlorine free, recyclable and biodegradable.

Tea filters are roomier than regular sized teabags and allow the loose tea leaves to unfurl. A bottom fold opens automatically, providing enough volume for the tea to properly infuse. The filters come in many sizes, the largest of which is ideal for brewing large quantities of tea, such as pitchers of iced tea.

All sizes are easy to fill and stand up by themselves in a teacup or teapot—no holder is needed.  Both types of tea filters are compostable. Sold in packs of 100.

comet tea straw   
Our comet tea straw is a handcrafted glass straw that filters the tea leaves while you drink your tea. It is perfect for use as a bombilla when drinking yerba maté. Yerba maté is traditionally prepared in a decorated gourd, and sipped through a bombilla (or “straw” in Spanish). The comet tea straw is convenient and easy to use: simply pour hot water over loose tea, steep for the recommended length of time, and sip through your comet tea straw. This straw is best for teas with longer steeping times, such as herbal teas. Since green teas require a short steeping time, it is better to use a removable infuser to brew them. When using your comet tea straw with really fine leafed teas, you may get a few stray leaves up the straw. After each use, rinse the comet tea straw under hot water, or place in the dishwasher.
